NORMAPME is jointly financed by membership fees and a European Commission Service Contract.

The subject of the contract is “Promoting craft and SMEs in the area of standardisation”. It aims at providing a stable and regular service over time with a view to promoting the participation of SME and craft enterprises and their interests in the European standardisation process, as well as improving SME and craft enterprises' information on, and use of European standards.

In this respect, the main following tasks are required by the contract:

1. Contacts with standards organisations, SMEs and crafts enterprises and their representative organisations.

2. Organisation and work of experts assisting NORMAPME secretariat

3. Information activities and feed back

4. Reporting to the European Commission (Bi-monthly report, Interim reports and Final reports)
